Strategy – goals – challenges – approaches

Creating value is only possible if you understand which goals have to be archieved and why they pay-in into the strategy.
But not each task or topic the team is working on is directly easy to match against the goals.
To make it easier to understand the sometimes complex interconnections between strategic goals, operational goals and methodologies and techniques I collected all that in a session with the team on a whiteboard with post-its.

After disucssing and sorting it with the team, I built a visualization for the wiki to offer that transparency even for colleagues joining after the workshop with the team. So those colleagues could easier understand the „why this way“ by focussing on single paths through the chart via mouse-over.
That helped us to focus on those areas of discussion where the arguments have been not strong enough to easily catch every participant.
